2 weeks in Lagos.

Coughs! I was viewing status on my whatsapp and I saw a lil story about the movie. I decided to watch it.

Well, the movie is based on a Nigerian businessman who came back from the abroad and falls in love with his friend’s sister despite the plans his parents has for him to marry a politician daughter.

Main Characters/Characters:

MAWULI GAVOR as Ejikeme

BEVERLY NAYA as Lola

TOYIN ABRAHAM as Kemi

SHAFFY BELLO as Mrs.Makinde

DEYEMI OKANLAWON as Joshua

TINA MBA as Sisi Toyin

JIDE KOSOKO as Dr.Makinde

UTO ROSMAN as Wande

MECHANICS OF THE MOVIE:

Direction: What really happened? Mawuli acted like he was just starting his acting career. Let me not talk of Uto Rosman. I thought asper you want to marry a well built, hot guy, you should do all you can to be with the man but no, the boy’s mother was the only one carrying out the mischievous plans. The only character that I was okay with, was Shaffy Bello. The movie was slow.

Cinematography: 5/10

Editing: 4/10.

Writing: I need to sit and have a meeting with the scriptwriter. This script looks like my first ever written script. It’s looking like a first draft that needs thorough editing. Character development is Zero.

Soundtrack: 5/10

Why was Toyin Abraham given that role? Arrrgh!

Moral Lessons:

1) Don’t come back to Nigeria if you’re abroad. Tell your family to comman visit you, you can find a Nigerian there to marry.

2) Always pray.

3) If you’re a boy, please introduce your good friends to your sister, one of them might be her husband to be.

Rating: PG10, yes 10 year old can watch this movie😂.

I will give this movie a solid 20%.

Enjoy!🍿 You might like it.
